What modesty? Those who are in love and in lust with fashion has this innate capability of turning the non-traditional pieces look amazing when worn in a traditional way. I'm talking about the boudoir trend in fashion that raises the eyebrows of many, the seductive innerwear as outerwear trend.  More and more fashionistas are joining the bandwagon and wearing lingerie as outerwear.  I have tried this trend in a subtle way - wearing corset tops with jeans and sheer tops that shows off the bra.  My inspiration for this post is Rihanna's latest music video, California King Bed.

In this video, Rihanna is wearing a two-piece white lingerie that goes very well against her mocha skin. Lace, corsets, bloomers, satin, sheer, silk camisoles, and stockings that juxtaposes racy and elegance are the best pieces for this trend.  Makeup should be dark, smokey eyes and nude lips.  Skin should be glowing since this trend highlights the skin.

 These pieces are not for the faint of heart, these are made for the bold woman as these demand attention.  If you are the type who aren't bold enough, I suggest you take baby steps.  You may wear lace corset tops with shorts and top it off with tailored blazers and ankle booties for a fierce but not that bold getup. On the other hand, if you're the daring type, you can go all out and wear super sheer top with black brassiere and black satin bloomers like this one from Fendi (photo in the rightmost).

Daring and seductive are the perfect words to describe this trend.  For the footwear, I suggest you partner these pieces with your highest heels, black is the perfect color of choice.  Bonus points if you can find a pair with bejewelled accent or studs - very rockstar!!

Hollywood stars have embraced this trend.  Mischa Barton has spotted donning the most difficult of pieces to pull off - the exposed stay-ups.  This is inarguably the most difficult to wear, but thanks to the comeback of the patterned tights and stockings, the not-so-bold women out there can pull this trend off too.

 I have to say I really really adore Sienna Miller for her being so fierce and daring on her fashion choices.  Who would have taught one can pull off stockings as outerwear? Well, she did, and she did it perfectly!
