Summer and Zoo

Getting ready for the rainy season is just as hard for me as welcoming the sunny summer days after the cold breeze of the holidays. I somewhat find transitioning a bit hard but exciting. Now that the end of summer is near, we really have to arm ourselves with the gear for the rainy season.  There's the ubiquitous umbrella to keep us dry from the drizzle, chic cardigans and pashminas to keep us warm, platform boots to stay chic and dry while it's raining, and the huge tote to carry in all the rainy day essentials. But we aren't saying totally goodbye to summer now especially that the sun is at it's extreme power every now and then. For this very reason, I am introducing to you my current obsession: Zoo Shop's summer collection.

Wisteria Leopard Playsuit in Blue
I have this love affair with bondage and loose clothing.  Bondage is extremely sexy as it highlights the feminine curves, whereas loose is very summer as it allows air to come in and lets you breathe. When combined, it makes for a sexy and easy vibe.  I love combining loose tops with tight skirts or short shorts.  It makes an outfit interesting and creates a fabulous combination.

Dahlia Sheer Long Pope Top in ivory
I have this love affair with sheer. I just can't get enough of them! Simply because sheer makes you look sexy even without exposing too much skin or putting on tight clothes.  They are a juxtaposition of conservative and bold.  Conservative in such a way that your whole body is covered and bold because it's sheer.

Primrose ruffle pleated maxi dress in blue
The photos above are the perfect sheer pieces. The leopard print in that sheer blue jumpsuit is perfect for either summer and rainy season.  The long ivory pope top and the polka dots long-sleeved button down are the perfect tops to match a tight short shorts and bondage skirt, they're even perfect with your trusted pair of jeans. The sheer maxi is my favorite! This piece is to-die-for!

Orchid crochet shirt in black and white
I particularly love the Orchid crochet shirt since this can give you a just-got-out-of-bed look, a look that I find so sexy and alluring. I just can't get enough of long and loose tops; tops wherein you can pair with short or tight bottoms.  Either way, you're in for a major sexy treat!

Gila ruched knot skirt
All of the pieces featured above are available at Zoo shop.  You may browse through their wide array of fabulous items at http://zoo.com.ph/main/ the prices are all indicated in the website and the procedures on how to place an order. Have fun shopping!

Summer is really here! I can really feel the scorching heat of the sun, hear the inviting waves of the sea, taste the refreshing mixes of fruit juices, smell the energizing scent of flowers, and see the sexy bodies of men and women by the beach side.  I'm sure many of us have gone to all sorts of crazy diet programs in order to look smashing at the beach come summer. The question is, have you found the perfect swimsuit yet? Well, for those of you who haven't, I concocted this post for an inspiration and pegs for the perfect swimwear.

I really love this look. I love animal prints especially on swimsuits.
This is the perfect ferocious two-piece bikini for a sexy and confident beach bum.

For this post, I am showing you collections from Ana Beatriz Barros and Jets Swimwear. Ana Beatriz Barros is more feminine, sexy, fierce. Her designs are mostly printed with opaque and striking colors such as moss green (as shown in the photo below) and with sexy animal prints like the photo above.

I love looking for pegs for possible pictorials with my friends. When I found this photo,
I thought this is the best peg for a Facebook profile photo. Haha!
For Jets 2011 Swimwear Collection, the pieces are mostly sweet with an edge, it gives off a rock and roll vibe with a hint of the 60s era.  Two-piece bikini in rich colors such as fuchsia and snakeskin blue, bandeau bikini comes in prints, maillots come in color blocks, all of the pieces are to-die-for!

Jets 2011 Collection comes in sweet fuchsia, sexy snakeskin print, and very 60s maillot version,
thus giving the clientele a wider choice.
Blue looks smashing against a tanned skin. Very sexy!

Bandeau is the best type to highlight a not-so-ample chest,
thus giving the wearer the illusion of a bigger chest.

Prints come in paisley and polka dots. Sweet and sexy at the same time.
The 60s vibe: Maillot and high-waisted bikini bottoms
For Ana Beatriz Barros Mano S/S 2011 collection, pieces are delicate, feminine, sexy, giving off the wearer a relaxed and fun vibe. Suits come in fresh and striking colors with prints for a maximum impact, fierce animal prints are also seen.

One word to describe this: SEXY!!!!

Easy pieces against the blue sea is heaven!
Have fun with these swimwear pieces from Ana Beatriz Barros.
Have fun with your man with this tankini in a refreshing sea blue color. Splash!
If you still haven't decided yet on what swimsuit to buy for your next beach trip, consider these choices. You may find a similar pair in a swimsuit store near you.

Vintage Lovin

There's always this classy and feel-good vibe of wearing vintage.  It's like wearing a piece of history.  Rummaging through my lola, mom, and auntie's closets always scores me a piece or two of amazing pieces.  This time, an aunt's dress found its way into my hands.  I just had it customized to fit my size and customized to my preferred hem length.

The vintage dress from an aunt
I just accessorized it with a scarf from Trucco, platforms from Zara, bag from London, belt from SM Department Store, and a bright lip. I decided not to wear necklace, cocktail ring, or bangles since it will overwhelm the whole look.
The red lip pops out because of the color of the dress.
The bamboo trees make for a great background since it makes the color of the entire outfit pop out. I love that nature is very fashion-friendly.

The scarf is one of the most versatile items in a woman's closet. It can transform into a pashmina to keep you covered and warm, into a cover-up when you're at the beach, into a bag accessory for a fashionable take on the leather essential, or into a turban (just like what I did for this post) to cover your hair from the harmful rays of the sun (or to just look fasyon).
Who would have thought that the once blah dress will look so chic when altered.
I love the versatility of the platforms.  It goes great with a dress, with jeans, with short shorts, or with a skirt.

Dresses instantly make me feel sexy, chic, and confident that's why this is the most used and versatile item in my closet. I just can't get enough of them.

Solara Addiction

Follow my blog with bloglovin

Summer denotes many things - vacation, long days and short nights, skinny dipping, diet, barkada trips, and BEACH!!! Of course, beach trips won't be complete without our trusted swimwear choices.  The best thing about this season is that since it's hot, one will have the excuse of lounging around wearing easy and breezy clothes.  Aside from lounge wear, another prerequisite clothing item this season is swimwear.  More and more labels are now introducing their swimwear line since it became a necessity especially in the Philippines, it is practically summer all year long.  There are many swimwear styles to choose from, and these styles vary from size to size and come in every color you could imagine.  Us ladies are very particular when it comes to swimwear.  As for me, since I have a very petite frame, I prefer the triangle two-piece bikini style since it won't overwhelm my petite frame and will look perfectly good on any delicate frame just like mine.  A newly-launched swimwear line here in Manila is Solara Swimwear.  This is the baby of former beauty queens Maggie Wilson-Consunji and Sandra Seifert.  Take a good look at their extremely sexy S/S 2011 collection.

Crystal Sporty Bikini, PHP 2,500
See, Maggie and Sandra are my peg for the perfect summer and bikini-ready bod.  They could practically live 24/7 in their Solara swimsuits.  I think Solara is made for the Pinay frame - small and delicate, skinny with curves, sexy and classy all at once!

Ruby Bow Bikini, PHP 2,800
This extremely sexy two-piece style is my first favorite.  The fiery red color will look great against the white sands of Bora, behind the sunny summer sky, and even on a sunset.  Red, definitely, means sexy, powerful, and seductive.  And this pair really capture it all!

Tanzanite Triangle Bikini, PHP 2,500 .
This is my original choice.  Triangle bikini tops really compliment small frames since it makes your chest appear bigger and thus, sexier.  (By the way, I really am in love with Maggie's tattoos. They look very sexy, don't you agree?)

Silver Triangle Bikini, PHP 2,500
Malachite High-Waist, PHP 3,200
This is very pinup-like.  The high waist detail is very chic and sexy at the same time.  Perfect for fashion photo shoots! I could really see this in the pages of Preview Magazine (and even Vogue!)

Pearl Monokini, PHP 3,000
See, monokinis are quite popular nowadays.  It's cut-outs make for a sexy swimsuit since it compliments your sexy curves and hides your unwanted bulges due to pigging out. (Oops!)

Emerald Twist Bikini, PHP 2,800
Onyx Bow Bikini, PHP 2,800
Black really exudes class and sophistication.  You can be a sexy and classy chic at the same time by donning this color. Yes, even at the beach baby!
Melanite Monokini, PHP 3,000
Sapphite High-Waist, PHP 3,200
Zircon Sporty Bikini, PHP 2,500

Diamond Twist Bikini, PHP 2,800

Aquamarine Twist Bikini, PHP 2,800

Summer is here indeed! I can already feel the heat. It's time to stock up on sunblock, guard your hair with a floppy hat, arm yourself with an umbrella, and gulp down more water. And what better way to say hello to summer than arming yourself in summer-ready outfits. For this post, I decided to rock a floral summer dress and pair it with stacked heels.

Dress is from Forever 21, Stacked heels from Christian Siriano for Payless, bag is from 50th Avenue, Earrings are my sister's.

These shoes are to-die-for!
